Last Friday we went along to Copper Beech Cafe in Dulwich for an Okido Art and Science Summer Club event. Callum and Amber both absolutely loved it, it’s a perfect session for both of their ages, which to be honest becomes trickier all the time!
The theme this week was Colour! Which was perfect timing as Callum had just received the Colour edition of the OKIDO Magazine through the post!
The kids experimented with paint spinning and they even made some 3D goggles. I was really impressed with Callum’s scissor skills as he managed to cut the whole thing out himself! Amber needed a little help and the lovely Okido host helped her out while I was chatting to my sister outside! Whoops!
If you’re like me and hate mess, or just struggle to think of creative ideas to do with the kids the OKIDO Magazines are absolutely perfect for inspiration! If you live in London even better – you must check out these events!!
Each workshop is centred around different topics, and the kids learn through discussion and hands on activities – the kids have cherished their little makes they got to bring home.
The lovely people at Okido are hosting these events every Friday during the summer holidays at the cafe, and there are still lots of tickets available!
Tickets are only £8 each and include all materials for the activities. You can get a discounted rate for booking more than one at a time, 5 sessions for only £30! The sessions last and hour and the activity is inside the lovely air conditioned cafe! Parents need to stay but you can hang back a bit if your kids are like mine and want a little creative freedom! As long as you’re near by incase you’re needed!
Click here to check out the different sessions, and we might see you there! We’re heading to the creepy crawly one next!
Thank you Okido for continuing to educate and entertain my children as they grow ❤️
